Krispy
Kreme’s

Fall
Donuts
include
three
new
donuts
and
two
returning
ones:
the
Caramel
Pecan
Brownie
Donut, Classic
Blackberry
Crisp
Filled
Donut, Cinnamon
Latte
Lover
Donut, Spiced
Apple
Filled
Donut,
and Chocolate
Iced
with
Autumn
Sprinkles
Donut.
A
Flavors
of
Fall
specialty
dozen
goes
for
$21.99
near
me
but
I
received
these
courtesy
of
Krispy
Kreme.
The
Caramel
Pecan
Brownie
Donut
is
an
Original
Glazed
Donut
dipped
in
brownie
batter
icing,
and
topped
with
candied
pecans
and
a
drizzle
of
salted
caramel.
My
particular
donuts
did
not
quite
get
the
brownie
batter
icing
coverage
shown
in
the
promo
pictures but
the
brownie
batter
icing
still
manage
to
offer
a
deeper,
richer,
sweet
chocolaty
flavor
than
you
typically
get
with
Krispy
Kreme’s
chocolate
icing.
The
pecans
added
a
slight,
nutty
caramel
note
that
was
enhanced
just
a
bit
by
the
salted
caramel.
There
was
a
nice
mix
of
textures
between
the
airy
donut,
the
thick,
smooth
icing,
and
the
crunchy
candied
pecans
but
it
also
got
a
bit
too
sweet
between
the
glaze,
icing,
candied
nuts,
and
salted
caramel.
The
Classic
Blackberry
Crisp
Filled
Donut
features
yeast
shell
donut
with
blackberry
filling,
dipped
in
cinnamon
icing
and
topped
with
granola.
The
cinnamon
icing
was
light
on
the
cinnamon
and
mostly
was
just
sweet.
Additionally,
it
formed
a
semi-hard
shell
that
flecked
off
the
donut
very
easily
and
made
for
messing
eating.
The
granola
was
just
sweetened,
crispy
oats
as
far
as
I
could
tell.
The
blackberry
filling
was
nice,
sweet,
and
fruity
but,
taken
altogether,
the
donut
felt
like
a
blackberry
jelly
donut
with
some
messy
crispy
oats
on
top.
The
Cinnamon
Latte
Lover
Donut
consists
of
a
yeast
ring
donut
dipped
in
cinnamon
icing
and
topped
with
a
dollop
of
cinnamon
latte
buttercream
and
an
autumn
leaf
candy
piece.
This
one
offered
the
most
novelty
in
terms
of
flavor.
Somehow,
the
cinnamon
icing
here
adhered
better
to
the
donut
versus
the Caramel
Pecan
Brownie
Donut
though,
again,
not
much
cinnamon
flavor
was
found.
The
buttercream
added
the
missing
cinnamon
flavor
and
a
fairly
robust
coffee
flavor.
It
appeared
to
be
flecked
with
ground
coffee.
The
autumn
leaf
candy
piece
was
actually
white
chocolate
or
something
similar
with
a
satisfying
creaminess
to
it.
The
Spiced
Apple
Filled
Donut
is
a
yeast
shell
donut
with
apple-cider-flavored
filling,
tossed
in
cinnamon-sugar.
This
one
just
tasted
like
a
fairly
standard
apple-filled
donut.
The
filling
was
a
bit
light
on
apples
but
offered
the
requisite
apple
pie
filling
flavor,
while
the
cinnamon-sugar
contributed
the
familiar
grit
and
flavor.
The
Chocolate
Iced
with
Autumn
Sprinkles
Donut
is
just
the
chain’s
standard
Chocolate
Iced
with
Sprinkles
but
with
different
colored
sprinkles.
It’s
both
glazed
and
iced,
which
made
it
very
sweet
with
only
a
light
chocolate
flavor
and
bits
of
light
crunch
from
the
sprinkles.
Of
all
the
donuts
in
Krispy
Kreme’s
Flavor
of
Fall
collection,
my
stand-outs
were
the Caramel
Pecan
Brownie
Donut
and
the Cinnamon
Latte
Lover
Donut
as
they
both
offered
a
nice
combination
of
varied
textured
to
go
with
somewhat
new
flavors.
